Project Description
Sony created an entertainment mall in San Francisco. Designed to be an entertainment destination for a wide age range, the center included attractions, movies, gaming and dining. Overall the project needed to reflect the modern, clean style associated with the Sony brand. Custom work and fixtures integrated into the architectural design gave the project sophistication.
We provided lighting design for several areas within the project. The Gateway comprised the main central spaces including the ticketing area, lobbies, elevators and other common spaces. A multi story atrium with light intrusion the Gateway design needed to be successful under varying ambient lighting conditions. Taste of San Francisco is an upscale food court showcasing local specialities. Airtight Garage was a custom gaming attraction, where the design needed to appeal to a younger, technology heavy crown, and reflect a more themed, fantasy environment.
